About

IES College of Architecture is organizing the Design Conference Vyuham 2026 on 10th and 11th April 2026, focused on celebrating and critically engaging with student-driven architectural design work. The conference provides a platform for architecture students to present their design ideas, conceptual thinking, and spatial solutions through design papers.

The intent of the conference is to foreground design as knowledge, emphasizing visual communication, architectural intent, and the translation of ideas into built form.

Aim of the Conference

The Design Conference aims to:

  • Encourage architectural students to articulate and communicate their design intent and philosophy
  • Promote design-led discourse within architectural education
  • Create a forum for critical discussion on contemporary architectural challenges
  • Bridge academic learning with professional evaluation through a jury-led review process

Nature of Submissions

The conference invites Design Papers.

Submissions should primarily communicate design thinking through drawings, diagrams, and visual narratives, supported by concise explanatory text. Each submission must clearly present:

  • Design concept and intent
  • Design philosophy and approach
  • Design development process
  • Architectural drawings and spatial organization
  • Relevant constructional and technical details

Academic projects, competition entries, and self-initiated student works are eligible, provided they are guided, signed, and certified by the Mentor or Head of the Department of the respective institution.

Category 2: Public Infrastructure

Including but not limited to :

  • Civic buildings
  • Transit facilities
  • Institutional projects
  • Public-use architecture

Eligibility: Open to current B.Arch and M.Arch students and graduates of the year 2025.
